Missing Something?

Nearly every single one of can sit and think about someone they know that has a missing tooth, Usually these people think that dentures and bridges were the only options, but today dental implants are increasingly used and offer a longer lasting, cost effective and more convenient solution.
Teeth can be lost because of old age, accident or decay. Whatever the cause, dentists seek to undertake treatment as soon as possible; a missing tooth puts strain on other teeth and its replacement will help to slow down bone loss and preserve other, healthy teeth.

Dental Implants = Natural looking Smile

A dental implant on its own is only half the story. The implant is required to provide support for a crown or bridge, which, once in place, will look, feel and function like a natural tooth. Where crowns can be fitted to the remains of a tooth that has been broken or partially decayed, when the tooth is missing altogether your dentist needs to provide a post to fix the crown to. This is the implant.
Following a detailed series of examinations and x-rays, a titanium post is implanted into the jaw bone in the location of the missing tooth. The bone integrates with the implant to provide a strong and stable platform for the new crown or bridge.
