How does the system work?

Invisalign is a series of clear, removable aligners that are worn for two weeks and then swapped with the next aligner in the series. The number of aligner needed will vary according to case severity, with most patients wearing between 18 and 30 aligners, but at the end of the process you will be in possession of a beautiful, straight smile.

Each aligner is slightly different in order to move the teeth gradually. We will ask you to visit the clinic every 6 weeks to keep an eye on your progress and check that you are happy with how treatment is progressing. You should remove your aligners to eat, drink and maintain oral hygiene.

The total treatment time varies according to the individual, but it is usually between 9 and 15 months.

Invisalign i7

For minor orthodontic cases patients can now choose Invisalign i7. This new system provided by Invisalign employs the same standards of Invisalign technology and the ClinCheck treatment software - but it is able to provide patients with results in as little as three months. Invisalign i7 is a convenient, discreet and effective means of treating patients with minor spacing, crowding or orthodontic relapse.

Invisalign i7 offers the same level of discretion as the other types of Invisalign braces. This ensures patients enjoy a comfortable and 'invisible' route to straighter teeth. Invisalign i7 requires only seven stages of aligner treatment per arch but is no less bespoke or effective for the individual seeking straighter teeth.
